    Any T.J. Hooker Fans?

Okay, only a true ShatFan would spot this...

Back in the 1980's Shatner did the lead role in T.J. Hooker. The series was a pure, unabashed, unadulterated Shatnerfest. By many accounts he loved doing this role and had lots of input for action sequences ( a la Shat! ) and one liners. One episode had Shat getting the drop on a really bad man. The guy reaches for his gun. Shat c0cks his pistol and says: "Just give me an excuse."

The Shatman is pure entertainment and I've always really appreciated his work -- fromage and all. Wouldn't have him any other way.

I wonder if this real life hero watched T.J. Hooker as a boy?

    Loved TJ Hooker.
Shatner is one of the few actors who SHOULD have been typecast for life but has managed to make many other successful series since Star Trek.
He was great as Denny Craig and also in his new show (bleep) my dad says.
Of course, I can only remember Heather Locklear from TJ Hooker.

I liked TJ Hooker. I watched many of the shows but fell off before it moved to CBS or whatever for it's last season. I think it did 3.5 season. I guess I watched the first 2.5. I recall some cast changes other than the intro of James Darren. I missed Nimoy guest starring. I think I did. First run anyway. So I may have quit watching it by whenever that was. I kept hoping he'd get his Gold Shield back by the end of the series.

He did showcase a jacket in the first several episodes with a plaid lining. I tried to get one. They dropped that storyline with the ExWife as I recall. Pretty hard. Never came up after about the first half of Season 1.

OK. That was more than anyone wanted to hear from me I'm sure. :O

                Heather Lockler was hot.

TJ Hooker kept jumping on the hood of cars. That's what I remember.

                    Hmmmm....

This one is a sticking point for me. I didn't like it when it came out: action stuff, especially lighter fare tends to bother me.... but what REALLY got me was a few years back when Bravo.... supposedly the highbrow network.... was rerunning it.

I'm embarrassed to admit, I never seen an episode.

It just doesn't look like the kind of show I would like ... which is strange considering I love cop shows AND the Shat.

                          Well,

That all depends on your interpretation of "TJ Hooker". In my world, as someone who loves Mexican chix and spends as much time South of the Cali/Mex border as I do, it has a different connotation...

Heather Locklear. Man oh man. One of Aaron Spelling's shows. What do Shatner, Joan Collins, Stephen Collins, and Catherine Hicks have in common?
