Okay, only a true ShatFan would spot this...
Back in the 1980's Shatner did the lead role in T.J. Hooker. The series was a pure, unabashed, unadulterated Shatnerfest. By many accounts he loved doing this role and had lots of input for action sequences ( a la Shat! ) and one liners. One episode had Shat getting the drop on a really bad man. The guy reaches for his gun. Shat c0cks his pistol and says: "Just give me an excuse."
The Shatman is pure entertainment and I've always really appreciated his work -- fromage and all. Wouldn't have him any other way.
I wonder if this real life hero watched T.J. Hooker as a boy?
