Yeah i saw that last night. Was wondering if anyone one here caught it and would post up. One thing that got me was the value the guy at the comic shop put on the carded Mego's. It seemed kinda steep to me. Wasn't it like 8-12,000 or something. As cool as they were, i can't imagine them bringing that kind of money.

There is another thread with the same issue (so maybe they can be combined to one).

Others would have to chime in on the Kresge items as that is not what I know. I do know he gave a value to a boxed CSS Spidey of $3,000. I wasn't sure which version it was but that sounded high to me as well. The appraiser said it was only 5 known in existence. I know there way more than 5 CSS Spidey's in existence...I just didn't see which variant it was. I do have a feeling the prices were overstated. Honestly, this doesn't suprise me. The guy that won 6,000 newspapers (3,000 each of two papers) reporting Elvis' death valued one paper at about $5 per paper and the other one at $10 per paper and giving a range of $45-$90K for the papers. The question in my mind is how long would it take the buyer to unload 6,000 at those prices and would the price go down now that he found a pretty substantial amount of them.

I did try to call their shop to see if they had anything left. Nobody picks up the phone and it is just a generic automated voice recording. They have a facebook page and I have seen a few people ask about purchasing some of the items. You would think that they would have a website and be taking advantage of their 15 minutes of fame but there is nothing. On google, a local business directory has their annual revenue estimated at about $40K per year which is probably why he doesn't have the money to take many chances on the best units and needs to flip the best stuff fast so he has money for the next score. My guess is that he probably sold the entire collection to the collectibles dealer who appraised it for him.
