Ghostbusters 3 directed by Ivan Reitman looking very likely!

The script, which Ivan Reitman says is a very good one is currently under review by Bill Murray. There's also talk of bringing in 3-D to enhance the effects. Personally, I'm not so much concerned with the effects as I am with the comedic quality of the story. Here's the link...

Uh, no you wouldn't... I saw him a few months ago and he looks like an old man and is VERY out of shape. He looks nowhere near as good as Stallone or Willis. I'm not saying he couldn't do another Conan movie, but he certainly wouldn't be swinging a sword and jumping around... At his age, with the steroid abuse his body has taken, I just don't know if it's realistic.

GB3 on the other hand; I'd LOVE to see that, WITH the original cast of course.

I just watched the Expendables and have to agree with Sandy, Arnie looks really old. Guarantee though that when he gets out of office he will mget back into shape and start doing movies again.
I have been seeing a lot of buzz about GB3 lately.....Sigourney Weaver mentioned she would do it if her son Oscar gets to be a Jr. Ghostbuster......script apparently will be a passing of the torch type thing...probably they want to set things up to continue without Murray, Akroyd and Ramis

That's always been my big worry of a new GB movie. The GB team is Ray, Egon, Peter and Winston. I don't want to see them portrayed as tired and old and being replaced by new young, "hip" and "edgy" team. They already did that and it sucked. Anyone else remember the Extreme Ghostbusters cartoon? shudder

I love GB. But I honestly think they waited too long. I wished they would have done a sequel many years ago. Now I'd prefer it if they'd just do a GB cartoon (cel or CGI) and have the classic team return in their prime. Kind of like the recent GB video game. Which was awsome, BTW.

I have mixed feelings about this and really worry this can't turn out as anything but depressing. Not to mention, last I read Murray said he wouldn't even do another GB movie unless they killed him off in the first few minutes and be a ghost. That would suck.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

There were interviews of Bill Murray I've read linked from the Brian Bendis message board that make me skeptical about Murray being supportive about the future of the film. I'd certainly love to see GB3. More so, especially a good movie despite the original cast having to pass the torch to the next generation. But Murray is a grouchy guy, sometimes bitter even, bruised ego and all that. And he didn't say anything nice about the actor who played Egon (his name escapes me and I'm too lazy to care to look it up) or the unfinished GB3 script.

Ghostbusters is one of the greatest movies ever made...everything clicked...from the cast to the story...never get tired of it.

...and yes...I welcome a third installment...nice way to thank the fans...
