He instinctively knew what to do in tight situations. Cared about his men. Knew how to get things done. We are so lucky they made Band of Brothers when they did so we could get the few clips we have of him.

I live a stone's throw from Hershey where he lived. I always hoped I'd bump into him. He was such a humble man and didn't want anything to do with being called a hero. He was a great American to be sure. R.I.P. Dick Winters.
