I totally related to this show when it came out and was so mad when they shelved it and then canceled it. I still have never seen the whole season.
Kept hearing rumors it might come back but once I started seeing the actors in other roles I knew that was never going to happen.

I own the boxed set watched it 2x. Apatow's a genius and I think a secret Mego-lover (see 40-y/o Virgin and the Micronaut's ref. in episode 8).

Ah! I thought I'd find some Freaks and Geeks fans in this place.
It only aired the one time on TV here, and on a pretty late timeslot, so until the DVD set was released, hardly anyone had seen it.
Like RussG said, anyone who watches the series pretty much becomes an instant convert, and I've been on a one man mission to share the goodness of this show since getting my hands on the box set.
For a show that only ran 18 episodes, there is just so much love put into every episode, the characters are alive, the serious issues tackled without too much judgement, and heaps of laughs and excellent music... just a joy.

I somehow missed this. I see that all of the cast has gone on to steady work, if not super-stardom.

I need to check this out, as I'd probably like it. I really like That 70's Show, and will even watch the crappier later ones, just because I liked the cast.

This was one of the best TV shows ever made, IMO. Had the network supported it, I think it would've been one of the long-running greats of television. How could it have not? Everyone I know who's seen it, loves it. It just needed more time and better support from the network.

I wish it would have continued, but I'm grateful for the episodes we got.
