When you see an ebay seller list a mego or any other item for that matter at a ridiculous starting price are you ever tempted to send an email or do you just chuckle and move on?

If it's something I want I have occasionally sent an email asking if they accept offers. 99.9999% of the time they say no. Then I'll watch them endlessly re-list the item and never lowering the price.
Delusional.

I think most of these people are just waiting for that one sucker to bite. They have no problem re-listing over and over again in the hopes that it will pay off eventually.
Of course there is a percentage of those who are clueless of what they have but I think the majority of high-pricers are just looking to cash in on a dope.

It really depends and it goes beyond Megos. If it is a collectible arena that I'm really knowledgeable; I will usually send the seller a friendly message to let them know what they have and what it's worth. I usually get one of two responses. 1. A thanks for the helpful information or 2. Ignore. I am not the Ebay police and don't make a habit of sending messages but will definitely help someone if they seem like they don't know what they have. If it is something I want but not willing to pay the price; I will usually just send them a nice message along with my perception of value and tell them to contact me if the item doesn't sell and they want to consider selling to me. This has actually worked a few times and I figure it never hurts to ask. I have yet been told to get bent but honestly would ignore a message like that anyway."The farther we go, the more the ultimate explanation recedes from us, and all we have left is faith."
