Music you're embarrassed to admit you like

For my wife's birthday i got her a Linda Ronstadt greatest hits cd she wanted... and I've listened to it several times. Sort of embarrassed by that fact.

Yeah, I blame VH for my Linda Ronstadt thing.

Once I called my friend and he was on his way out. He, his wife and brother and sister-in-law were heading out to see Celine Dion. I told him that he and his brother-in-law were whipped, and he told me that they all four were big Celine Dion fans....

He then told me that he was just more in touch with his feminine side than I was. I told him he'd been touching his feminine side way too much.

I'm not embarrassed by this at all, but my favourite song is "Copperhead Road" by Steve Earle. Everytime I play it my friends call my a hick (I'm from the country, what can I say), but they all get extremely frightened when it comes on and I'm playing pool, I play so much better, it's like magic.

Steve Earle is the man!! Nothing to be embarrased there about. "I Feel Alright" is one of the best records of the 90's...

Being that I consider Myself a "Punk-Rocker"....there are a few Bands that remain silent about liking.

But here goes...I'll let Ya make fun of Me:

                    Simon & Garfunkle
One song by the Eagles: "Cheatin' side of Town"
                    Bee Gees(Early stuff...pre Disco!)

I used to be massively embarrassed by being a Niel Diamond fan. I embraced it in college and have never looked back. The dude is awesome, and if you don't like him, you're either lying or helpless.

I'm too old to give a damn about cool music. The local bar jukebox set for me is Social Distortion, Bruce Springsteen, Violent Femmes, Morrissey, Stevie Ray Vaugh, Patsy Kline. Not exactly the punk I grew up with.
Steve Earle rocks; did a great session with the Supersuckers years ago. Irish folk done by the Pogues is one of my favorites; for all his ugliness Shane is that much of a genius. Hank Jr. was the last concert I saw and he blew Skynnyrd outta the water.
When I'm in the wife's car it's nothing but NPR classical music to keep me from killing people on the road.

Ok, songs written by Burt Bacharach.

So I like "I Say a Little Prayer" and "What's New Pussycat?"
