I'm watching the last of it now. I don't know why all those kids were so scared of the slide after seeing Santa. I would have loved it!

    Cya next year, Ralphie!

FX counter it by showing Horton Hears A Who. Yeah, like that works.

I noticed a mistake has been corrected. The part where the boys go upstairs...you used to hear them slamming 2 doors, (which makes no sense since they share a room), now you only one door slam. Funny how no one ever noticed that before....or did they?

I think the two slams are them jumping into their beds.

This is the first year I didn't watch the movie in its entirety. I would flip it on, watch 20-30 mins of it and change channels(usually the wife). But I probably saw it a total of two complete times if I added all the times I watched it.

No actually...the two slams are the bedroom doors, (w/ footsteps in between). Obviously, someone realized this didn't make sense, and omitted the second set of footsteps and the second slam.

Actually I'm sick of all these 24 hr marathons. Especially if they are on several years in a row. You need a rest every once in a while. Alternate once in a while.

^ Be thankful they don't do that with It's A Wonderful Life any more.

I DVR'd one showing of it to watch it. I also watched a number of Christmas episodes of TV shows from my DVD collection. Honeymooners, Lost Honeymooners, Andy Griffith, Brady Bunch, Flintstones, That Girl, The Patty Duke Show, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Bewitched, The Odd Couple and for the first time ever The Six Million Dollar Man.

It is too bad that Dickens is not around anymore to collect all the royalties of each Christmas Carol inspired episode (although actually out of that group only Andy Griffith, Bewitched, Odd Couple and Six Million Dollar Man were CC inspired)

Earlier in the week I saw Charlie Brown Christmas and Frosty but somehow Rudolph eluded me.

And I also got to do my yearly viewing of The Polar Express.

The 24hrs of The Christmas Story has become a tradition in my house hold. I have it on while putting toys together, it is on when we are opening presents in the morning.

The best thing about this movie is they do not over kill it all season long. I think it was on only once between Thanksgiving and Xmas, so you are not burnt out on it by the time the marathon comes on.
