Lighted Angel tree topper. We bought it on our honeymoon in Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge. It's been on top of our tree for 23 straight years now.

First are my 1970s bulb lights. (Yes, they still work, even after YEARS of my pop cursing them and spending hours untangling them! )
We dont really do 'ornaments', right now we have Polaroids of my wife's past Christmases and other photos displayed in the branches, along with bright red pointsettia flowers.

Oh - and no 'star' or 'angel' on top this year, THIS year the tip of the tree spot goes to Mego Hulk! (I got him for Christmas from a fellow member here, and my wife thought it would be a kick to use him as our tree topper...)

See: (Roosevelt seems to be MEZMERIZED by the tree's glow!)

And this is 'around' the tree - it's like part 1970s Christmas, mixed with part 'stuff that I have to organize'! Excuse the 'mess', I'll blame it on E-Bay sales and the time of the season!

        Have a Merry Christmas everyone!

        I just wanted to add...

I lost my pop on December 23rd when I was a kid of 12 years old. He was my hero and a truly great man, as well as one of my best friends. His passing is why I typically avoid the Holiday season, but this year my wife and my friends have really done more than their share to pull me into "the spirit". I'm not looking for sympathy nor pity, NO way, he was an old WWII guy that lived a VERY full life and he more than had "his time" on this earth....Only wanted to say that this Christmas, due in NO small part to me becoming a member HERE, has been the BEST Christmas in many, many years - thanks for that, eh?

Hey Krusher, Sorry to hear that, I lost my dad when I was 19 but he loved Christmas so much I try and keep the tradition going with my family now, hopefully I can pass it on to my 3 yr old as I have passed on my love of toys to her especially vintage ones, she really want to play with my silkscreen wonder woman, and the first thing on my tree is a hallmark Han Solo, by far my favorite star wars character

That is a very fun tree Mr. Krusher! Not too over the top and decorated with love... That to me is what a tree should be. Bravo and Merry Christmas!

Sorry to hear that you lost your dad, Krusher. I lost my mom last year, and this is my first Christmas flying solo, (last year I was in NYC w/ Shawn). But I'm in the spirit too!

I always put lights and garland on first, (like I did this morning), and I don't really have specific ornaments that go up first. I guess maybe I like to put my special Hallmark keepsakes up first sometimes. I have a radio (that plays), and record player (also plays), several GIJoe ornanents, and Uhura one (one of my kids gave me 2 years ago), a Spock Galileo shuttlecraft, and this year my boss gave me a classic Voyager talking Borg cube!

Awesome HardyGirl! (Sharry, yes? ...Never sure of the spelling..I have a sister named 'Sheri'...) I'm truly sorry to hear about your mum, just know that she hasnt really 'gone' anywhere, so long as you welcome and cherish her, eh?
As to the "sorries" though everyone, really really, NO need - he lived a full life and has earned his place in the halls of our fathers...

Hearing you speak of the ornaments reminded me: We bought a massive haul of Hallmark ornaments a few years ago at a garage sale. There must be at least one hundred, ranging from Trek to Star Wars, to Lionel Trains, and everything in between. I'll have to dig those out of storage one day...

                  Take care everyone.

This is the first year we did not put up a tree, since we have a new puppy in the house we figured we would try to avoid any accidents this year. But the Christmas spirit is strong as ever in our house this year and our new boy Cody has a lot to do with it!

First thing on is a lighted Santa Claus on the top. He usually hangs out alone for a week until I decide to decorate the rest!
