Whew! Carrying a tree home is hard work!

*pant pant* I do this to myself every year for the past 18 years. Since I don't own a car, I carry my tree home. The tree lot is about 7 blocks from my house, and most of it is uphill! But I'm really looking forward to decorating it tomorrow, and a couple of friends are coming over to help. Trimming the tree is the highlight of my Christmas Eve!

BTW, you should invest in a cheap handtruck

Sounds fun! We went fake years ago and although it is easier, sometimes it just doesn't have the same charm as a fresh tree.

I figured for sure deep in that toy room of yours would be a Radio Flyer red wagon for just such jobs.If not maybe that should go on the short list of your wish list.Merry Christmas.

Even if I did have a digital camera, there's no one around to take a picture of me carrying a tree! And I don't have a wagon, (never did). I do have a shopping cart, but that would break the branches. So I carry it. I just go done hanging the light and garland. Tonight, the ornaments and star.

                      DAMN girl!

Wish I were there to help, thats a long haul! I miss a real tree, we always had them growing up.
(I DONT miss the shedding needles, and the old tom cats trying to 'spray' them...)

This year we broke-out the 3' artificial, its just so much easier. (It's on a small end table, making it around 6'...)

Happy Christmas to everyone! Chicken salad with red grapes and pecans, my mother's fudge recipe, homemade rock candy, and everything else for EVERYone! (Well, not EVERYone...the Grinch gets none - he TIED antlers to his dog's head...rotten b@stard!)

Remember, I grew up just outside of Harlem NYC, and I never knew anyone that DID have a wagon!

If we would have been neighbors as kids,I would have shared our wagon with you.Nothing more fun than riding it down the big hill at the park into a huge pile of leaves. All the way from Harlem, you've brought yourself far haven't you.
