I'll bet this is a longshot but I'm doing my brother a favor here. Does anyone out there want some dogs or a cat or 2? My brother knows some Dogs and Cats that need homes.

Do you live in the NY/NJ area? Do you know anyone who would like them? See if these links work. If not I'll send you the info. I would love to take the dogs myself but I haven't started my new job yet so my life is sort'a up in the air right now. So I'm not sure this landlord or the next landlord would let me have 'em in the apartment.

The dogs are really nice and should be kept together.

I'm sorry...but I hate when people give up on senior dogs.

13 years old?

That tells me the owner doesn't want to deal with the eventual death of the poor dogs.

Really sad...and in a way...infuriating to me.

Thanks Hec, the owner of the dogs is a senior and had surgery and can't care for them any more. The family won't take on the responsibility for them.

I never owned dogs and would love to take them but I might have to move in the coming months and I can't be sure my next landlord would allow me to have them. I'd love to take the cats too but same story.

Also the cat w/white paws was de-clawed by the last owner. That doesn't sit well with me. So that cat would need a special home where nobody would terrorize it.

Man, I feel for the senior...but shame on his family...shame.

It is tough caring for a senior dog...especially if he's nearing the end...not only expensive...but more so emotionally of course...really tough...we struggled with our own 16 year old senior doggie...he was totally blind, we had to keep cleaning after him...we had to carry him to the backyard...he could no longer go down the steps...feed him by hand...he would whimper in pain...and when the time came for euthanasia...it was really, really tough. Someone who adopts senior dogs has to be very strong, a saint really...my hats off to them.

That's true,

It's gotta be indoors no matter what.

If somebody put's it outside for any length of time it will most likely die.

Keep taking them to a shelter a last option, because they will most likely be put down no matter what the shelter owner tells you.

Those are some nice looking cats. Just wound up with a Maine Coon myself. If I was closer,I'm sure I'd grab them.
