I don't think Reynolds is incompetent for the type of rolls he gets. He has some skill with delivery, and somewhat memorable in the fluff he makes. I have no idea if he's going to work as a superhero.

Nothing about Chris Evens is memorable to me. In fact every time I hear his name I have to think to where I know it from.

Now, if you were to have an obnox-off between the two, I think Reynolds wins based on experience. Both actors have a handle on smarmy and smartass. That's partof their appeal. The only reason we get funny threads like this is because they are both, at the same time, going into quasi-serious roles with huge exposure. Their strengths and weaknesses are going to be glorified next Summer.


I always liked the ROck from WWE, so the anti-hero/jackass/smartass appeals to me on some sophmoric level.

But to say They are Not " Men" . I disagree.
Last I looked, I dunno 1 Single Boy That Could Pull That Arse of Reynolds Wife.

Plus, I've Pretty Much Enjoyed Every Role Reynolds Has Ever Been in, that I've seen thus Far. And Think He will be Great as GL ..., Plus sorta Fits Hal Jordans Character , if One Actually Reads the Books.

.... I did However Enjoy The Movie Push, and The Losers , and His Characters he Played. I really Hated the FF4 Flicks, But If I had to cast a Single Shining Light, Other Than Jessica's Bra And Pantie Scene in the 1st Film, It Would Be Evans as Torch. Perhaps that's why I enjoy some of the Roles Protrayed Thus Far.
If you Hate Someone Because they Are Muscular ...,Take the Fork Outta Your Mouth, and Go to the Gym,... and Say " You Can Do it" . I don't remember Lynch Mobs On Arine ...., and All He could do Was Act Like a Complete Bad Arse, with a Body Count to Match. I dunno If I remember Much " Great Acting there". But them Movies Sure as Hell are Cool.

I like Reynolds.....I thought he has been pretty decent in a lot of things I really liked him in blade.I get the feeling he is a pretty boy but I am not looking to date him so I don't care.

Gerard Butler is my go to guy when I want old school Eastwood or Wayne type films.
He is the new tough guy/action guy for me.

Oh, I HATED both Push and The Losers...horrible flicks...

I did like Evans as Johnny Storm though...that's mainly due to the character of Storm as being obnoxious himself...perfect casting...lol.

But I have big doubts about Captain America...first of all...I don't like the same actor playing two iconic superheroes...second...I hear he's going to bring some humor to the character of Steve Rogers.

As for Reynolds...he's also doubling in the superhero thingie...first as Wade Wilson/Deadpool (still hoping for a film series based on that character)...now as the Green Lantern.

It has NOTHING to do with their bodies...that's just silly, lol.

I dig Hugh Jackman, Gerard Butler, Arnold, Bruce Lee, Stallone, etc...all physical specimens...and I think they are great...the key word here is OBNOXIOUS...and both Evans and Reynolds lead the way in spades...both try to be so hip, cool, witty, and funny...and are none of the before-mentioned....lol...
