How to package rare figure???

Hi, I'm new to this. Whats the safest way to pack a figure with its cardboard box so that it does not get damaged? I assume a load of bubble wrap in a huge outer box is not the best way. Thanking you.......

If it's really rare and expensive it's best to double box it - using packing between the boxes.

The will help prevent an outside bump from getting to the item.
