    Picture of Woolworth, Halloween 1977

My local station has a feature every Monday where they show clips from 10, 20, 30 and 40 years ago to show you what was going on then.

For 1977, they showed a clip of a story about how it was hard to find Star Wars costumes for that Halloween.

I saved it to DVD. I don't know how to upload DVD video but I did a couple screen captures of what they showed inside a Woolworth in 1977. Also trying to figure out some of mask and costumes shown.

      Great pic!

The one you have marked as maybe being Koening is actually Shazam!

Almost all of them look like Shazam! There might be a few Steve Austin's in there but I can't get a good look at the left eyes.

Except Batman all the masks look the same.

Will someone get that child a ladder before he knocks everything down.

I had the 6 Million Dollar Man mask/costume I think I might even have a photo/slide of me wearing it (1977) back at my parents. Why did people use transparencies so much back in the 70's. I remember my Dad having photo evenings projecting picures on a white bed sheet.

Awesome! I only had one costume like this, I was the meanest Hulk at Halloween!

Until the costume ripped right up the back!
After that Ma always made my costumes.
Until I started malkin costumes for myself!

Now that's what I'm talking about! Even though I only had one Ben Cooper type costume back then, (Bionic Woman) I loved going to Woolworth's just to look! All the characters you could ever wanna be were in those boxes for a mere $2 or $3. And don't forget about the scary sounds and stories records! Them were the days!

That brings back alot of memories.

The Woolworth in Huntsville still had the classic lunch counter. I also remember the the majority of employees in that store were little old blue haired ladies.

But What I remember most was finding my first Robin there.

Think B.A. Where did you hide the Megos?

                      Cool stuff, Mike:

We thought we were so "Mod" back then. It seems so quaint now.
