Got to meet Joe Montana today...

Though I’m not a 49r or Irish fan, I do have a deep appreciation for the Notre Dame vs. USC rivalry. Since I couldn’t leave a shot of whiskey w/ cigar on the grave of Knute Rockne before the big game, I decided to do the next best thing: pick up a Notre Dame mini-helmet before the Irish/SC game and modify it to look like what they were going to wear at the Coliseum. Well, the Irish ended a losing streak since ’01 and brought down the walls of Troy last week.
Joe Montana was going to be doing a signing at a local Collectible Shop today, so I thought I’d top off my “winning helmet” by having one of the Irish Legends sign it.

All those rings would've hindered his signing ability.

I've never been to a signing before, so I didn't really know what to expect. I had heard some stories about certain athletes that don't even make eye contact with the fans as they sign, but Joe was the opposite. He chatted a bit with everyone and was very patient as fans took pics. He also shook everyone's hand after the signature. Truly a class act.
