"Empire" was the most entertaining SW film ever made. He provided very sharp, precise direction for the actors, built excellent momentum throughout the entire movie.

    Thank you, Mr. Kershner.

Altho that "A day long remembered..." bit is from NEW HOPE... well,
I still feel it here with Kershner's passing.

Kershner, by some counts, could be the greatest hero of the SW SAGA.

        RIP

          I have to agree

Empire set the tone of the entire saga thereafter

If Empire was flop that would have been the end and Star Wars would just be a good movie with a lousy sequel - like so many others.

Kershner showed us what Star Wars could be when taken seriously. He'll be sorely missed.
