I havent seen any Japanese movies,but I truly enjoyed the Last Samurai.

I enjoy the Lone Wolf & Cub movies the most; atmospheric, sometimes funky, and always very bloody
Throne of Blood is excellent.

Come on Sandy...kinda of a slap to the face to Japanese cinema (and culture)...Kurosawa greatly influenced Georgie boy...come on now, lol.

I love Seven Samurai, Yojimbo, Kagemusha, Ran...but the most fun are the Lone Wolf and Cub flicks...not realistic like the Kurosawa films...but a blast...
