    I forgot about James Bond.

Yea, they had a few great soundtracks

One of my faves was On Her Majesty's Secret Service

    Lousy Bond, but great soundtrack

A Charlie Brown Christmas. I love the soundtrack by Vince Guaraldi and listen to the cd every year around Christmas.

Eat The Rich is good too. You can't go wrong with Lemmy!

Can't leave out The Rocky Horror Show either.

Side 2 of Yellow Submarine...the original version of the record. George Martin's instrumental music is just incredible and captures the psychedelic style of the movie. I haven't gotten the re-masters of the Beatles CD's but I hope they put the George Martins score back where it should be on the Yellow Submarine CD.
"When not too many people can see we're all the same
And because of all their tears,
Their eyes can't hope to see
                The beauty that surrounds them
                Isn't it a pity".

                    Isn't it already there?

The "SONGTRACK" YS album is completely seperate, right?

Anyways... as far as best scores for a movie NOTHING can beat YELLOW SUBMARINE.

I'm with many of the Williams picks... great stuff... so beautifully
appropriate for moods, plot points and characters in movies like
SUPERMAN, INDY and STAR WARS... but pound for pound George Martin
and The Beatles KILL on the YELLOW SUBMARINE movie.

Not owning the CD, I didn't realize it wasn't on it.

Lots of good ones. I never get tired of ST:TMP (The Jerry Goldsmith version).

I'll throw in Lawrence of Arabia as a good soundtrack, too.
                      It's all good!

                        .
The songtrack contains most Beatles songs used in the movie .

The soundtrack contains 1/2 Beatles songs and 1/2 George Martin background music used in the movie.

                        They're 2 seperate entities

BTW, the soundtrack is widely considered an original Beatles Album.

The soungtrack CD is basically another greatest hits album

Thanks Mike... but to be more specific, I knew that info already and
what I was trying to pinpoint, is why Meanie was saying "I hope they
put..." regarding a future release and current certain omission
of Martin's score on some version of the YS sndtk. album.

I thought he may be referring to the Songtrack version.. cause where else
or WHY else would they omit Martin tracks from any "regular" release of
                            the YS album?

I'm not 100% sure, but I think Roberto is hoping they remaster the original soundtrack and release it again on CD.

Not sure if the original soundtrack was remastered before it's original CD release, but if it was it was done in the 80's --- which is a long time ago.

Ahhhhh... so it may just be he's wanting a good remastering job that
hasn't been rendered on the Martin tracks yet. I see.
