I'm about the only person in the States to be into Sloan, but Halifax was producing a ton of great stuff in the 90s. If you listen to their entire oeuvre, it's like The Beatles, Beach Boys, AC/DC, Thin Lizzy, and Chicago all rolled into one. They're that multifaceted. They can do it all, and they do it well.
But, yeah, April Wine is great. Helix is a killer Canadian band, too.Comment

We all know they were far and few between (not a real knock)

Over the past,O,I would say 6 yrs,The local Montreal rock station has played AW about 5 times a day.= Oversaturated.
I used to love them.
One of the most memorable metal nights of my life.

This was my intro to AW:

For some reason this got more airtime than any other AW song in central Ohio when I was growing up. I always forget about them when I'm making a mix CD for the van, thanks for the reminder.Comment

This Canadian Band, The Tragically Hip, is a bit more current than April Wine. I hear that they are pretty much unknown in the United States.
Is that true?90, Joe 90.... Great Shakes : Milk Chocolate -- Shaken, not Stirred.Comment
