    Homemade Halloween costumes

Here are this years Halloween costumes. Noah is Diamondhead from ben 10 and Samantha is the Pirate. A couple of Sam's items are factory manufactured, but we put it together with some original pieces. Noah's is all homemade. They do not make any of the Ben 10 aliens. Have some of your own? Homemade or not please post them.

Too cute! I don't have any kids, but I'm working on my Evel Knievel costume today. I bought a t-shirt w/ the stars and stripes "V" on the front, and white sweat pants. I scanned the stripe from the shirt, put it on iron-on paper, so I'd have stripes down the sides of my pants. I cut up an old white men's shirt, (just leaving the collar and back) to make a cape. I put a logo and more stars and stripes on the back. I'm also copying a pic of his face to cardstock to make a mask. (very Ben Cooper like)

        I love Halloween!

HardyGirl, if you are able to scan and email pics, send them to me and I'll try to post them for you. If not, let me know if you'd like me to scan them for you. We can exchange mailing addresses via pm and I'll either scan them and email 'em to you, or I can get them burned onto a disk and send that back to you with the originals.

Mine was a little less homemade than I usually like to do, but we didn't really have any major Halloween plans due to work conflicts. The only place I wore my costume was for work, and I didn't really feel like making a whole new outfit just for that. I went as a Jedi. I made a robe, which turned out pretty well(for the first time I had to re-size a pattern to fit me). I just tucked a pair of khaki pants into my winter boots and wore a lace-up blouse with it. I got some pics, which I'll post once I scan them. This was basically a practice run for the Pittsburgh Comicon, for which I'll be making a little more accurate costume, and hopefully replace my toy lightsaber with a custom-made hilt on my belt(or if Santa's nice, a Force FX one to play with). And I'm also pretty excited for the Con, because my husband has agreed to dress up for the first time ever!

Same idea here. I just decided I was dressing up at the last minute (after it looked like I was going to be the only person in my department who didn't). I went as a dark Jedi. Wore my usual black shoes, black slacks, a black button-up shirt I've got with a funky collar (don't know what it's called but it's like the ones on the Next Generation uniforms), and bought a cheapo black cape. Pulled on an old wig that's previously seen duty as hair for both X-Pac (1998) and Mankind (1999), dyed my sideburns, eyebrows and goatee black, grabbed my Vader replica lightsaber, and went.

Awesome Diamondhead!!! My kid is big on Ben 10 as we've discussed before. He'd love a costume like that. Great job!!!

I guess he's psyched for the live-action Ben 10 movie, huh?

My son wears both of his omnitrixes every moment that he's not at school, church or sleeping. He carries his ben 10 figures around in a tool box everywhere he goes. He talks about different alien possibilities for the omnitrix in ways that I cannot comprehend daily... so yeah, he's pretty stoked for the Ben 10 movie.

What are the helmet and arm-thingys made of? Is that foam? I don't know the character, but the costume looks like a lot of fun.
