^ I am leaving next Tuesday. I have missed Laurie so much, it doesn't feel soon to me...

I got you some Sandy...did you know there is Mighty Mite and Promite too? Mmmm. Promite.

The trick with all these things is to only use a tiny bit. A slice of Vegemite toast always makes me feel better when I feel a bit ill.

You're such a sweetie, Cat. I can't wait to put some in a shake... As the great John Farley says; "You gotta have your protien and you gotta have your fiber..." Love that guy...

I actually love Vegemite. To me, it has a very strong brewer's yeast and malt-type of flavor - VERY deep and earthy.

My favorite way is on buttered brown toast with a little leaf lettuce on top - GREAT stuff!

I have been out for a long while now, :( the last jar that we had was from a European market in NYC...ah well....anyone want to trade some toys for some Vegemite??

So what's Bovril like? I've heard it's like beef-flavored coffee, but you can eat it like Vegemite.

Right on then! "From the SOURCE", eh? ...Do you mean that you mix the brewer's malt and chimney soot YOURSELF, or??

I wasnt kidding at all BabyCyclops - I'll gladly trade some toys or items for a jar or three of the Vegemite - Just PM me!

Oh, and I dont like the bitters of Marmite - phew - but I would love some English HP Sauce if you have inexpensive access - our fried tatties and pot roast are naked without it!
Ohhhh....and Cadbury's Crunchie bar...MMMMMMMMMM....You can import me all of the foods from OZ if you'd like sir!

                Thanks and take care -

Violet Crumbles are pretty insane. They're probably the worst chocolate bars for yor teeth!

                      Sandy,

I've bought these here in states. I know they are sold here in seattle, l.a. and phoenix. All places where I acquired them.

                      Very yummy treat.

I thought about you and Violet Crumble bars as I strolled with my dog near the ocean this evening...and thought I should have picked some up when I got the Marmite.

Well, if I get back to the shops in the next two days I'll pick up some Violet Crumbles for you Sandy, and some Vegemite for Mr Krusher.

Thanks BabyCyclops and SlipperyLilSuckers! I'd gladly trade toys (NON MEGO!! ..well, maybe if I have spares! ) for the values of Vegemite and sweeties!! My wife and I both love most of the Australian candies, but can you tell me what the hell a "Musk Flavoured Stick" is?!?

Oh, 'SlipperyLilSuckers' - Unless of course it's private, can you please tell me what your 'name' means - Is it in reference to some sort of an eel or a minnow -?!?
                          lol

                          Thanks and take care -

                            1. I will get Vegemite for a present for you.
                            2. A musk flavoured stick is a kind of candy, about 10cm long...originally came in pink only, now you can get multi-coloured ones, which taste, well, musky.

                            3. I got called a Slipperylilsucker at a nightclub one night when I was evading a particularly persistent girl.

I found out later it is from a Julia Roberts movie where she accidentally sends an oyster flying across a restaurant and comments "Slipperylilsuckers aren't they."

I like what peoples' imaginations come up with when they hear it hehe. My first thought was girl oysters. That's enough detail for here...

Ahhhh....I see. Well, the color looks tasty - like they might be some sort of strawberry cream or a fruit-type flavor, but the name? Yikes!

                              "Every kiddie's FAVOURITE after-school treat - MMMMMMMMM....MUSK!!"

They must go hand-in-hand with 'Soil Flavoured lolipops' and 'Sweat Gummies', eh? lol

As to your 'name', I gotcha, lol. The first thing that popped into my head was a bucket of eels...slithering in their slimes!!
(My pop and my brothers used to fish the LaChute river a lot...Salmon, eels, pike, mmmmm....) Uhhhh...."girl oysters"?!? I bet they have to use a VERY powerful magnifying glass to be able to tell the difference! lol

Thanks again, and as far as a 'present', no worries - I'll send you something as well, just see my trade list!
(Folks here have often offered to send me FREE goodies - I dont know how to process this and am uncomfortable not 'paying my way'!! )

                              Take care -

                                ^ Musk is musk flavoured.

As for free goodies, you just pass it along when you find you have something someone else really wants. I have just about everything I could ever want but thanks anyway :D
