Unique way to lose 27 pounds in 10 weeks

Twinkies, nutty bars, and powdery donuts... Yep. You read that correctly...junk food. A professor took a 10 week experiment limiting his calorie intake to 1800 a day. He rotated sweets between the three mention above and dropped 27 pounds in a ten week period. His point? It doesn't matter what you eat as long as you count the calories. Fascinating study.

      What about his sugar intake?

If I were to follow a diet like that, my type 2 diabetes would spike up into the stratosphere, and I'd probably go into diabetic shock.

        Interesting article.
I'm surprised the glycemic count wasn't accounted for in the experiment. May it was but it wasn't mentioned in the article. I'm curious about that angle.

Yeah...but it would be a different kinda weight loss.

All that stuff has zero protein...so your muscles will start melting away.

A dude who loses 27 pounds in 10 weeks by eating a protein-rich diet...will be stronger than a dude who loses 27 pounds in 10 weeks eating only sugary stuff.

BTW, I'd take a ribeye steak over any sweets any day of the week...

As soon as he starts eating regularly, because of this twinkie diet he was on, he is going to add more than the 27 pounds he lost.

it's true, i just lost 22lbs. in 3 weeks just watching my cals. Simple as hell really..here's what i did

for breakfast i'd have a fruit(banana usually) and a glass of ice Tea

lunch I'd eat what ever the hell I'd want, I'm talking about a huge meal

then for dinner something small like a yogurt and a fruit or a tuna salad

3 weeks 22lbs.!! and I've been maintaining it for an additional 2 weeks now where it goes from 22-24 lbs. I don't gain any back and that's not even with working out

Only if he ups his Twinkie intake.

I lost about 140 pounds in less than 2 years on my own diet.

Breakfast --- rice cakes and big coffee (fake sugar and creamer)

Lunch --- 1 apple and some cheese

Supper --- ground dark turkey meat

                    Snack --- dry cereal

Also, 1 meal per week you can pig out with anything you want and as much as you want.

                    I got down to 155 and i'm 6.0

Then I got bored and tired of starving myself and gained a lot of it back

I'm using a program called SparkPeople. You enter your height, weight, and how much you want to lose. It helps you pick a date to lose about half of that by, and gives a range for a suitable calorie/nutrition intake. You can also use it to develop an exercise plan. I was exercising before, but not losing much. I was eating way too much, and using exercise to justify it. So far I've lost 11 pounds in a month. I did my weigh-in this morning, and it says, "Congratulations on your weight loss. Please adjust your settings so we can suggest a reduced intake for you current weight." So now it's telling me I can eat less per day I guess you gotta do what you gotta do.

guys it's really simple, here's the trick
                          weigh yourself,

multiply it times 8 to lose weight, times 10 to maintain and time 12 to gain, you don't even have 2 workout for this one

if you do you'll see faster results though

I need to shed some fat myself. I played football in high school and have always seen my extra girth as my 'power', but now that I'm getting older it wears on my back and joints.
I suppose I wont be "going pro" anytime soon, nor will I need to be the head knocker that I once was....time to lose some.

I'm close to 7' and a bit under 400 lbs...

I dont FEEL 'unhealthy', but like I said, I'm noticing pains here and there and things like getting out of bed in the morning...over the past 20 years I have went from being built like a 'stocky' basketball player to being built like Andre during the last years of his life...
