Ah.., gotcha.. First day back at work, so I haven't kept up with the news. Reminds me of the Ray Rhodes firing as GB head coach back in '99, but at least they gave him until the end of the season before they pink-slipped him.

I'm feelin' you Scott. As huge Cowboys fan growing up in Philadelphia, I am used to the hate. And I agree with Jason- when you put yourself up to be the best and you don't perform, you gotta expect the backlash when you don't. Its like the Yankees here in NYC. I despise them, but I have to respect the fact they are willing to say we are the elite and the expectation is that you will act accordingly. The Cowboys have not.

      I miss Tex Schramm.

I actually felt like Phillps should have fired after the playoffs LAST season. You could such terrible fundamentals. They were a team that won on talent but not on effort. I'm worried the next coach has a deep, deep hole to try and climb out of. Also, firing him last year would have bettered the chance of getting a good coach (darn you, Redskins!!!). Now its going to be hard to hire a coach who will most likely face a strike next year.
      WANTED - Solid-Boxed WGSH's, C.8 or better.

Another Cowboys Fan Here, They Will Be Back. Hopefully Jerry Will Swallow His Pride And Let Someone Else Coach. But I Am Proud Of The 5 Superbowls, I Guess I Can Wait Another Year Or Two For Another.

I agree with alot of the Football Guys On Espn Today.
Until the Cowboys only Have 1 Coach, Instead of 2 Coaches, they will always have issues. Jerry Jones Finally got His "Yes Man" Coach, and Look what Happens. I believe Jones is To Blame The Most in the CBoy Debackle.

However Players getting Paid Millions just giving Up Yesterday ...., Man Thats Some Harsh stuff. We are not Talking Buffalo or Detriot here ... , and atleast those Teams give it thier all .

What Jones needs to do is call Jimmy Johnson up and tell him if he comes back he will have full control of the team. Then just sit in his box an keep his thoughts to himself.

Imo. The games past JJ. They need to pay what ever it would take to get Bill Cowher and Jones to get the **** out of his way, so he turn that team of clowns into a football team.

Cower would also be a great coach for that team but I still think JJ may have some coaching skills in his blood. But the biggest thing is to keep Jerry Jones away from the team and the coaching staff.

Yeah, I am all for Bill Cowher. Gruden's name keeps coming up but he isn't the right guy.
