It has been a long two months

Sorry I have been gone for a while. My biggest apologies go out to the guys at Castaway. My wife and I purchased a new home which is good news. The bad news is that while playing one man moving crew I truly screwed up my back. So between moving, changing schools for our five kids, going to school, trying to keep working, and just living life, having a torn-up back is one headache I did not need.

We all have problems. Fortunately I do not think I left anyone hanging on any deals. However, I have only been on the boards once or twice in the last couple of months as a result. If I left anyone with unfinished business please call me out on it and we will complete the deals.

I am looking forward to skulking around the board again and seeing what everyone has been up to.

They sure are, I know all about it. Struggled with my back for 3 months last year.

The whole "new house" thing alone can be a trying experiance. I remember moving into my first house from an apartment. Seemed like I had a bunch of stuff to move. Then I moved into my second house after being in my first one for 18 years and WOW, DID I HAVE A LOT OF STUFF!
Hope you back is feeling better and everyone is settled. You did not miss anything here.

I understand where you are coming from John. When my wife and I met 13 years ago we had nothing between us. Both of us owned the uniforms on our backs and whatever the military deemed necessary... that was it. Now it took my nearly two months to move all of our families stuff into this 2500 sq ft home and we still fill the 4 car garage with junk.

The time has come for the mother of all garage sales.

Thanks for the good will all. It is good to read what everyone has been up to and kind of get the feel for the mego world again.

You would think so wouldn't you? We ended up with 4 bedrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen, walk-in pantry, mud room/laundry room, the biggest bathroom I have ever seen, and a four car garage. Now what I did get was a full basement to house the comic collection and an office that holds all the toys. The office is not huge but it's about 12x20. Overall, I am a pretty happy collector.

Will do. I will be spending tomorrow doing some catch-up so I will drop you a line.
