    Who's Harry Nilsson?

Anyone check out this documentary yet? I watched it last night. Really enjoyed it. It's a sad and often amusing doc about his life and music. Brilliant song writer with an amazing voice and he wasted it all on drugs and booze. he was very close friends with John Lennon and Ringo Starr

here is a link to his most famous song if you don't know who he is.

he also did the lime in the coconut song

the guy really was underrated and gets overlooked because he was so shy, did not tour, and rarely did TV appearances

I'll have to see if it'll show up on the Documentary Channel.

                    Again, same train of thought.

We didn't have much on our iPod so I went looking for a definitive collection and found out that Harry was trying to have RCA release a complete boxset before his passing with no luck.

I want a boxset that has EVERYTHING and demos and alternate takes. No luck and would love to have it all remastered like the Beatles catalog. More stuff from the ***** Cats sessions with Lennon.

Nilsson probably does not have enough following at this point to warrant investing the money to remaster everything. would be cool though.

Its\ doesn't take much to invest in remastering. I believe the issue arises with RCA and the Nilsson estate working together to figure out the rights.
These days it doesn't take much to master and based on Nilsson's popularity the label and estate certainly will make their profit.
According to the movie, there are demos and unreleased tracks that could see the light of day.
