    Anybody into R/C cars?

    The Traxxas Slash...

    Traxxas - Slash 4X4 - 2010 Awards

The new Traxxas Slash electric 4x4 model is the one I'm going to get...it's the best friggin' truck on the market right now (here it is racing along with it's nitro-powered Slayer counterparts)......

    Up to 60mph, baby...

Nice hang time, and durable as heck...

    The sucker is waterproof too...

No, this is not Toys R Us crap, lol.

It's nitro-powered cousin...Slayer...is faster...and I love the sound it makes...but it's a lot more fragile and not waterproof...plus it doesn't have reverse...and the Slash does...so electric is the way to go here...

I have the traxxis race car with a 06 mustang shell on it. I put an air induction on it and it goes about 95 Mph. I originally purchased it for my son. He crashed it into a curb his first time out and I spent a bit on suspension parts. I decided it was a little to much for him to handle. I take mine out every once in a while just so the engine wont go bad on me. I would like to get a hold of a monster truck with dual wheel turn on it. I have never tried the battery powered ones. I hear they are pretty cool as well but I gotta stick to my nitro powered traxxas for now.

      That's awesome!

Like I said...nitros go fast as hell...but electrics are quickly catching up...heck...I think I've heard the speed land record for an R/C was accomplished by an electric...wow.

Yes, you can't beat the sound, smell, the authenticity of nitros...they are awesome.

But you likely spend 75% fixing and maintaing nitro-powered cars and only 25% driving them...and the electric ones are just the opposite, 25% fixing and maintaining and 75% driving them, lol.

Luckily you have a racer and not an off-terrain truck.

You can take the electric Slash into the water...I wouldn't try that with a nitro Slayer.

Do you have any videos of your R/C ride?
