I've always found the Japanese culture's obsession with creating robot women more than a little creepy.

To call these robots is actually kind of a stretch. They are closer to Disneyland animatronic puppets than to an actual functional robo-girl they try to pass these off as.

But hey, they have a blank stares and can open and close their mouths on command of the programer off camera. I'm guessing that's enough for a lot of the people that would be interested in something like this. No doubt the dude from Japan that married a Nintendo DS dating game character will want to divorce his previous virtual wife and upgrade to one of these.

You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

In my opinion, its a gross creation. Sad to hear that the Japanese elderly populace apparently needs robots in place of dogs - dogs are my favorite of all creatures.

One more step towards a 'life' as depicted in THX-1138 or maybe Logan's Run. Reminds me of one of my favorite Twilight Zone episodes, 'The Lonely'.

"Hi. I'm Alicia whats your name?" (shudders)

                    Ah well.

Just saw your post Brazoo - Good god, if I were that boy I'd have dragged that thing to the nearest landfill!!

Looks fake to me. Add some special effects to make the eyes move fast and a phony website.

It does look more like a human acring like a robot, but I believe its real. Useless for now, but real. God help us if the real doll people get together with this company though.
