Are you watching the World Series? Look for me, cause I just scored tickets!!! Wahoo!
No idea. I'll fill you in when I get back. I used to be a season ticket holder, went to the series in 2002, it'll be incredible. Pac Bell Park is the greatest.

Yeah, I don't get why they call this the World Series. It's US teams only anyway, no?
Major League Baseball is considered the highest-level of the sport, as a profession, and attracts the best players from all over the World. In a sense, it is the only yearly World Championship for the Sport. There are professional leagues in several other countries, most notably Japan, but they don't attract the talent or have the nationally-diverse rosters that MLB does.
There is talent all over, to be sure. The Netherlands even has a player in "The Bigs".
There is a World Baseball Championship and that title belongs to Japan. Five members of that team were playing professionally in the US. World Baseball Classic: Japan: Rosters
This roster shows all the players in the World Baseball Classic who are affiliated with Major League Baseball. World Baseball Classic: Rosters
There is also a World Cup of Baseball that has been dominated by Cuba. US Professionals can play in that contest, but only Minor League Professionals. Major Leaguers aren't allowed.
That was huge fun!! Great seats, 6th row by the Giants bullpen. What a lucky day. Did not expect to see the Giants drop 11 runs on the Rangers, or EIGHT on Cliff Lee! The place was jumping and San Francisco is just electrified right now. All the buildings are lit up in orange.
