    Enterprise-A goes for a swim

Probably the coolest thing I've seen in a while. I once dreamed about a Star Trek episode where the Enterprise (TV one, of course) had to go underwater.

Awesome! That's my favorite Enterprise design and watching it go around like that has an almost hypnotic effect on me.

It kind of raises the question though if the "actual" Enterprise would be able to withstand underwater pressure of any significant depth, since it's designed for the frictionless vacuum of space. (And yes, I feel like a hopelessly pathological geek for asking that.)

Yes; because it's the structural integrity fields that keep it together, not that materials; even during the rigors of warp speed: they'd be able to take the pressure underwater.

        And I moreso for answering.

That was pretty cool. Nice clear underwater photography. Now where are those Neptunians?

The water actually give is a nice realistic space-style glide.

It's movement is way better than the CGI used on later movies and TV shows.
