The shirt I made from 3 running shirts:
I red shirts was sacrifices to make the stripes.
The star is negative space cut into the blue shirt. I sticthed at the tops of the red stripes and at the points to the white shirt. The problem is that I didn't take into acct the amount of stretch the star would have when I put it on. I am going to try to mark it while on and sew the whole thing in.
I am also looking for better gloves or possible making some out of the left over material from the red shirt.Comment

Brue is one of the rare few that can really pull off a Superhero outfit. Supercool dude.
Hope you bring this one to Mego Meet next year (just modify the sleeves, lose the gloves and make sure your shield is deco'd with a giant sticker to accurately reflect the classic mego!).Comment

Speaking of MegoMeet and costumes, I was going through wannabemego's gallery from 2009 yesterday and noticed these...
Costumes really are kind of a fun part of the Meet. Particularly for the kids I'm sure!Comment

I'll be sure to post my costume after Halloween.
Brue, did you make or buy those boots? I could really use a source for those to upgrade my friend's Golden Age Flash costume, and someday, I hope to go as Black Canary(once I'm slim enough to pull it off).Hey! Where's the waiter with the water for my daughter?

another thing that i have done for boots is hit the fabric store, buy some faux leather and trace my lower leg. I mirror the image and cut it out. sew it behind the leg then hot glue it to an old pair of running shoes. < this actually works better than store bought costume boots.Comment
