    At last... Big TV

I've never had a big TV. Today my 65" HD TV arrives. Pretty happy about it. Big movie and football watching weekend ahead. Best part of all... it was a gift. Best gift ever.

Wow, that's cool. We really enjoy our HD TV. Did you get a projection, Plasma or LCD?

Nice, a huge HDTV is awesome. That size would almost have to be rear projection, a LCD or plasma that size would be insanely expensive, if you could even find one. Is it rear projection DLP, LCD or LCoS? We have a 60" Sony RP LCoS set, and love it (I ended up rewatching tons of DVDs when we first got it, it was like watching them for the first time). Anyway, that's even more awesome that you are getting it for free. Enjoy!

That's really great! I'm still sitting on my 36 inch tube but have been eyeballing some of the Plasmas now that they have come down dramatically in price.

Right now, I don't watch enough tv to really justify purchasing one but that hasn't stopped me from buying more dvd's than I have time to watch.

HD will ruin you! Its makes SUCH a difference. It can be hard to switch to non-HD (or standard, I guess) to watch sports or anything else. You'll find yourself watcing the ballet on PBS just because its in HD and you can't get enough of that crisp, clean pic!

Congrats and enjoy the games this weekend.

It's true, I've found myself watching programs in HD that I would have never watched otherwise. Hell, I hadn't watched SNL in years until I got a HDTV, then I started watching it again because it's in HD.

Congrats on the TV. I'm hoping my 10 yr old TV goes out so I can justify getting a new HD one.

Very cool gift. I'm sure you're loving it as I type this. We got a 50" Song WEGA HDTV about a year and a half ago. I'd never want to go back.
