yeah the new one is horrific me and the kids sat down to watch it and my kids were like you watched that when you were a kid I told them the only thing this show has in common with what I wacthed is the name. Now I have to go get the dvd's so they can see how EC was done back in the day

When I was a kid I loved the EC, didn't Morgan Freeman play on it? I also remember a short bald dude with a moustache that played a small roll in stir crazy, he grabbed a guy's junk with some plyers, awesome!Comment

The Electric Company is certainly a mainstay in our household. Our 10 and 3 year girls love it.
One of my daughters took it upon herself to watch the new one and was really let down.
She prefers the old one with the catchy songs and the skits.
"And what about Namoi" line from Boy in Chair skit rules.

My daughter actually likes both version of the show the new one and the old one (we rented the DVD from the library). New one isn't that bad once you get past the fact that it doesn't really have anything to do with the 70's version.It's all good!Comment
