It's always sad when we lose celebrities who were TV favorites. I enjoyed Tom Bosley as Mr. C. I also recall fondly seeing him on the Glad Trash Bag commercials.
Two of my favorite Happy Days memories was

1: Howard helping Richie to bed when he experiences getting drunk for the first time. He was patient and understanding. I think being a dad, he was abe to relate to Richie, but had a tougher time with Joannie.

2: At the end of the episode where Howard and Marion return home from a trip to find Richie and Potsie had some girls over. After they left, Howard wants to hear what happened and Richie asks him," What do you want to hear first? The truth? Or the big lie we were going to tell everyone at school?"
Howard's reply, "Why don't we start with the lie." I loved that scene.

Rest in Peace Tom Bosley. You will be missed.

No offense to Simon but he's not in the same league as Mr. C or Mrs. Cleaver Manimal is nothing more than a 1 second blip on the radar compared to the other two iconic roles...

RIP. Definitely the #1 TV Dad of all time IMO. I read on a book on Happy Day once that said best, he worked so well not just because he could well be YOUR Dad. One of the classic scenes for me was when Richie lost the Basketball game and he offered him a lifesaver.
