You'll never get Slash to work with that egocentric ******* again

        Not true.

Slash is chomping at the BIT to work with Axl...it's been documented time & time again.

Axl shut the rest of the band out a long time ago and is only recently
allowing them to seep back in under his discretion because he's bored of
making only a certain amount of money and getting a certtain amount of
        attention.

SLASH will be the last to be allowed in on Axl's "come on back and play ball
under my rules" plan, because Slash is the most iconic of the non-Axl
members.....Axl is playing everyone like a harp.

For only about ten years (circa up til the 2 week/2 song 1996 reunion), then,
for about the NEXT ten years Dave, like Slash, was eating humble pie
to get back into his old band....and it only happened after Ed finally
broke down for negotiations to do it.

            same deal with Axl.

From all the interviews I've read and seen Slash has NO desire WHATSOEVER to ever work with Axl again. And why would he? He's going solo now and he's playing GnR songs as well, he doesn't need Axl. In fact, it's quite the other way around. GnR is nothing without Slash.
Axl is an egocentric, egotistic, narcissistic, self-loving, self-serving, self-seeking, selfish and self-absorbed piece of **** who doesn't give a ratsass about anyone else, certainly not his fans.

I did watch an interview with slash where hid did say it was not out of the question. He also said it would be great to go on tour with velvet revolver and G'N'R.
I can't find the interview but it was on Much music(maybe a behind the scenes with VR).
Maybe he was being sarcastic but from the last few times I have seen Slash and people ask him about it he says he is over all the old feud and doesn't put them playing together again out of the question.
“When you say “It’s hard”, it actually means “I’m not strong enough to fight for it”. Stop saying its hard. Think positive!”

He's always been "over it"....the only reason he got out of GNR in the first
place was that he wanted a break from Axl.... unforunately for him that break
has lasted far longer than he'd like.

As far as what you're saying about the situation Thomas...you have bad info.

If you want to explore this, I suggest you get Slash's bio, read it, and then
you may be pretty much caught up.

That may all be true, but I don't think he'd deny it either... And while it may not sit well with most, it's better that people see upfront that he is not easy to work with, be around, etc...

Dollar$ speak louder than words, and I don't doubt for a minute the "reconciliation" was money based... That said, DLR and Eddie both have to know that whatever their feelings are toward each other, they also need each other... Eddie has to know/had to know that even the most hardcore fans had to think "I think Van Hagar is good, but I really wish Van Halen was back together..." And I'd guess in the back of his head, DLR must have known that he messed up burning too many bridges with VH... There are just some people that need each other: Axel and Slash, DLR and Eddie, Mick and Keith, etc...

If I have bad info I got it from Slash himself, he said all those things last summer in interviews here in Belgium, when he was playing the Graspop Metal Meeting. He's fed up with Axl Rose and Scott Weiland because of their egos

No one here has mentioned Izzy Stradlin. Take a look any any good GnR song and see who wrote it. His rhythm parts play a much larger role in GnR's sound that people realize. It's my opinion that Izzy was the unrecognized key member of the classic GnR lineup. Considering Izzy is still so ****ed off at Axl that left Velvet Revolver over the possibility of having a singer who didn't play an instrument, I doubt he'll be back in GnR and without Izzy, it's not really the classic lineup for me.

I think Slash has done just fine without Axel. In addition to Slash's Snakepit and Velvet Revolver, he's played with Michael Jackson, Lenny Kravitz, Alice Cooper, Rob Zombie, Scott Ian, Tommy Lee and Ace Frehley. He recorded music for Quentin Tarantino's "Jacky Brown" movie. And the coolest thing of all to me personally is he was the guitar tech on Duff McKagan's solo album tour. He said he just liked hanging out with those guys, so he went on the road with them pretty much just for fun.

Purely as a side note; Robin Finck quit Nine Inch Nails to play with GnR because Trent Rezner was so difficult to work with. After playing with Axl for several years during the Chinese Democracy era, he quit to go back to Nine Inch Nails. I'm not sure that he ever said this publicly, but he said that the reason he quit GnR was Axl was WAY harder to deal with than Trent. That's really saying something! Appetite for Destruction is one of the greatest Rock albums of all time, but I think GnR's time has past. With that said, I might go see them in concert if Izzy and Slash were both on board.

Izzy ****ed off at Axl? I don't see that at all.

Izzy left GNR a "little" cause of Axl...
and a LOT because he couldn't stand touring with GNR after getting clean.

Izzy seems to love playing with Axl's nu-GNR quite a bit as he's done
many shows with nu-GNR....which is interesting since Izzy hasn't toured
regularly with GNR since before the UYI albums way back when.

I wouldn't be surprised if Izzy toured with a GNR reunion albeit without Adler.

"Having fun" and "doing just fine" last only so long, sooner or later it becomes
clear that a reunion is the only thing that makes sense, if only for egos
sake... then there's the MONEY... and, of course, creatively, the idea of new
                          material.

Nix the term "bad info" and let's say "incomplete info". Slash rants a lot
but those are just off the cuff remarks... his overall stance has been
openess to a reunion and an overall respectful tone for Axl's eccentricities
whether Axl deserves that respect or not.

Personally I think Slash has been a non-confrontational fool, and should've
fought Axl to the bone for the GNR name, instead Slash crumbled (easily)
and we're where are now because of it.
