Nope, never seen any of the aboves

Back in the 80's I considered any movie with Cruise a "teen movie" so I avoided them all.

I've never seen it either, it didn't really appeal to me.

Sure, I just don't see the appeal of a sequel. Is anyone really excited about this?
I mean, sure there's always a few, but generally speaking, will enough people be excited for this to be a box office? Cruise's last movie bombed (and so did a couple of others before that), I don't think this will be any better. He lost all credibility with the scientology thing and his weird performance on Oprah...

                    Okay....here's my take:

                    1) As long as it's something I'm interested in, I NEVER consider
"real life"/personality credibility, altho' it seems many movie goers do,
so, admittedly, the studios care too.

So, yeah, still Tom Cruise could do just about anything short of kill a family
member of mine and it wouldn't affect "my" thoughts on his movies personally.

                    2) If "your" take is you're sick of his personal stuff, and that's why you you'd
say "Who cares"...that's cool... but of course there may be a sizable amount
of Cruise/Top Gun fans not affected by his personal exploits that DO care
about TG2...so there's your answer to your question.

                    3) Unfortunately for me, as much as I like Cruise's chops... I didn't really
get into TOP GUN at all. It was too mainstream for me. (I didn't even bother
going to see JERRY MCGUIRE because of the same reason)

So....it's too bad that this isn't RISKY BUSINESS 2 or a prequel to
COLLATERAL 'cause I'd be all over it.

While not a huge cruise fan he has done some great work.
Top gun being one of them if there is a sequel I'd watch it just for the simple fact I enjoyed the first.
Also top gun is fantastic in sound surround with a big screen!!!
Just hearing those jets take off from the deck is worth the price of admission...LOL

                          Cruise rules... Period.

He gets a bad rap sometimes because of his personal beliefs and his off screen behavior, but the guy is a solid, SOLID actor. Always has been. "Risky Business", "Rain Man", "Legend", "Magnolia", "Eyes Wide Shut", just to name a few... He's really amazing.

Top Gun rules even harder... Kilmer, Tom Skerrit, Anthony Edwards, Michael Ironside... C'mon.

I'm not a big sequel or remake guy, but I can't WAIT for this.

If they bring Anthony Edwards back as a zombie,I'll go see it.

Dammit! I was hoping for the reimagined version with Justin Bieber as Mavvy and Gilbert Gottgried in the Tom Skerritt role.
