Halloween costume survey time...

Alright kiddies line up for inspection what was your favourite cstume you wore as a kid to school , me i was a punching bag my too older brothers made me remember that every day......
lets go kiddies what were you?

My mom made me a Philly Phanatic costume that was a pretty nice replica of the real one. It was cool enough that I wore it for 2 Halloweens in a row, which normally would be a violation of an unwritten rule of kid-dom. During the summer between those Halloweens, the Phillies had a costume contest. I and about 12 other Phanatics got to go down on the field and show off our costumes. On another occasion, I got to meet the guy who wore the costume for the Phillies. I wish I could remember what we did with my costume.

Wearing the same costume for multiple years wasn't some taboo of kid-dom. I was a witch 3 years in a row. My little half brother was Superman 3 years in a row too. And yes, both were by choice.

Never dressed up for Halloween as a kid, Halloween wasn't popular here back then

I used to dress up as pop singers of the day , and witches and ghosts , one time I went as an Indian with long black wig and fur boots , loved Halloween any films tinged with Halloween in them I love , I was to young to have had a bionic woman outfit hahaha have one now but hey I would get locked up if I slipped it on now

The first Halloween costume I remember having was the Ben Cooper Spider-Man one. Then other years I also went as Darth Vader, a Jawa, a gorilla, etc. Fun times!

My mom made several homemade costumes. Sometimes they used some bought parts, like a Scooby-Doo costume that was all original except the Ben Cooper mask which I wore over a hood my mom made.

But my favorite was my homemade Batman costume. I still have the mask to this day.

I had quite a few homemade/kit-bashed costumes....Cookie Monster, a black garbed cowboy (inspired by a pic on the cover of a book featuring The Three Investigators ), General Urko (with plastic six-pack rings as the mesh bandolier ) and Dr. Doom (who beat a kid dressed as Darth Vader in a light-sabre duel that year at a costume party ).

As for store bought/Ben Cooper/Collegeville I seem to recall Mighty Mouse and Yosemite Sam (which was 4th grade because I remember having 3 other Yosemite Sams in the class )

And the sad thing is....my mother was known in the extended family as being "the picture taker"....she had pictures of every occassion, holiday and party it seems....But NOT A ONE of either me or my brother in any of our Halloween costumes, save for a one glimpse of me, I think sans mask, in my Mighty Mouse costume

I really didn't have a favorite costume ... I actually hated dressing up and going out for Halloween.

My favorite Halloween was the Halloween I was told I didn't have to go if I didn't want to.

My mom often made my costumes when I was a kid. My two favorites were a Spiderman costume and a Pirate costume that she made (I used the black vest from the pirate costume to be Han Solo for years after). One year I wanted to be a skeleton, so she bought one of those skeletons with movable arms and legs that you hang on your door, took it apart and stapled it to black pants and a turtleneck shirt. It was actually kind of cool!
