So...at this time of year, they keep deadly poison just down the aisle from Halloween candy. WTH?

Yeah, I've seen that before, too. Like the damage from the rodents themselves, just make sure everything is safely sealed before you eat it. But as someone else mentioned, I wouldn't use poison because you do not want them expiring within your walls.

Yeah, the little buggers are inside the walls (I can hear them scurrying across the ceiling). Don't want a bunch of decomposing animals in my house, and you also run the risk of poisoning your own pets (ad the neighbor's cat).

A friend gave us this electronic device that emits a low hum. The sound supposedly drives small animals nuts. It looks like a little hifi speaker.
Then again, maybe these are death metal mice, and I'll see them headbanging in front of the speaker......
