Sorry - where do you get that it won't be on any major stations? According to this very article it was covered on CNN and Capt. Robert Salas was interviewed by Larry King: Capt. Robert Salas on Larry King Live Discussing UFOs and Nukes Waffles
Who's Larry King?
Yes you are quite correct it was, i was wrong there, i think what i was trying to get at is that they would not give it any serious credence unless they all ready have in which case i will be wrong again.Comment

I would imagine that Wolfie was just speculating and that there was an unspoken probably in there. That's the problem with posting on boards -- our written words don't have the luxury of tone to qualify our statements.90, Joe 90.... Great Shakes : Milk Chocolate -- Shaken, not Stirred.Comment

That guy called back saying it was a joke. Yet I believe aliens are out there. When i was like 6-7 yrs old I saw a day time sighting of a huge silver oval/disk like object, it was silent, stood still for like 8 sec's then shot off at a high speed. It was no blimp, my cousin, same age as me was there, we still talk about it from time to time. So that was 1970's, long Island NY.

Yeah, but the story goes he said he was joking with a gun to his head by government officials. You just never know what to believe,Comment

I personally highly doubt the probability that aliens have visited earth - and aside from that point that I've never heard any real plausible reason for why any government (or the media) would cover up an alien encounter.
The knee-jerk reaction always seems to be that the government and media is somehow motivated to block corroborating these sightings, but how would that look different if strong evidence just REALLY didn't exist?
I also think that theory presumes the American government has WAY more power and competence then it actually has. The government can't even make an intern's B.J. disappear.
Anyway - just my personal take.Comment

I just think it's odd that if the media doesn't uncover solid evidence they're not treating it seriously, when it's just as possible that they try and can't, because the evidence isn't there. It's a no win situation for big bad media.
It's also impossible to prove a negative. I can say there's a 50 Ft. purple baboon named Ludwig living in Baltimore and no one can definitely PROVE I'm not right. I guess that's why I have a skeptical bent on these things.Last edited by Brazoo; Oct 3, '10, 2:50 AM.Comment

I just have one question: Why would aliens care at all if we have nuclear weapons that we could destroy ourselves with? What difference would it make to an advanced life form? The entire story makes no sense to me.
It would be like pulling your car over to the side of the road and moving rocks to make sure they don't roll down on an ant hill.Expectation is the death of discovery.Comment
