Many artists over the years have been inspired by the bass guitar sound on "Rain" and "Paperback Writer" and have tried to duplicate it, even today. I once heard that when Cheap Trick used George Martin as producer of their "All Shook Up" lp, one of the first things they asked him was how they could get that McCartney bass sound from "Rain"!

The Revolver lp and the "Paperback Writer/Rain" single are my favorite Beatles releases. Glad you finally discovered this cool tune!
