The Flintstones still hold up, at least the originals. They never quite recreated that original formula, despite many tries. Happy Anniversary Fred.

I love the Flintstones!
When I was little, I was ALL about the Flintstones!. Gumball bank, battery powered toothbrush, vitamins. During the ending theme, when Fred put the cat out, and the cat goes thru the window and Fred is locked out yelling for Wilma, I would always yell, "Go thru the window, stupid!" over and over and my mom would laugh. I still do that when I watch an ep, for old times' sake.

I remember showing my young niece the b&w cigarette commercial on youtube with Fred and Barney behind the house smokin' it up while Wilma mowed the lawn.
Her remark was priceless..: "I felt like my childhood was just violated.."
