I agree as well. Although not a total surprise given Phils' passing in Feb. But without those 3 it's just not the same.

One of my favorite shows,been watching since the first season. Capt.Phil was one of most peoples favorites it seems, me included but the other 3 are right up there with him in my book as the main guys, maybe only one left that I enjoyed watching.

A trio of stars has quit Discovery's Deadliest Catch, a week after the network sued two of them, claiming breach of contract, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Brothers and Capts. Johnathan and Andy Hillstrand said in a statement Tuesday that they were unable to continue the show due to the ongoing litigation, in which Discovery accused the duo of not doing work on a planned special. Capt. Sig Hansen, who was not sued, is leaving the adventures series as well, in support of the Hillstrands.

Last Wednesday, the network sued the Hillstrands for $3 million, claiming that they did not complete work on a planned Catch spin-off, Hillstranded. The brothers said last week that the lawsuit was an extortion attempt by the network.

This sounds to me like a classic case of "creative differences". They probably disagreed on the content of the special and they are all pulling out to force Discovery to cave in. It seems we haven't yet got all the details but as they approach the start date to tape the new season Discovery will probably flinch and they'll reach some agreement.
