Should I get the medium or large one?

No Cintiq at this time...too darn expensive.

I appreciate any input on the matter.

    Large!

I have a 6 X 11 and I like it. I outgrew it pretty quick though and really want a cintiq now - if only...

      Ah - I see they changed the sizes on the 4s - I have a 3.

Get the large for sure. The medium (8.8 X 5.5) will drive you crazy, in my opinion.

Hector, i recommend the Medium (6x9ish) size. The large one is too obtrusive, the small ones are too small. The medium is the most frequently used, it is just right: )
Also depends on how much desk space you have and personal preference of course. Check ebay first.

            Thanks!

            My desk is indeed small.

Amazon has the medium one plus Painter 11 for $399 right now...

You gots mad skillzzz!!!!! (I think that's how the kids say it.)

I guess the desk space concern makes sense - I have a huge desk, so I guess I didn't take that into consideration.

I just find it really hard to use a small drawing surface.

Probably part of it depends on what you're used to. I've been working in the medium (6x9ish) size for a few years now.

                        HEC!

                        the cintiq rocks sir.
eventually when you get a cintiq, get the big one.

                        one day sir.

If I buy a Cintiq...it will be the small one though...that one is doable if I save a little here and there...the big one has a used car price tag...

I have used Illustrator and Photoshop a lot...but never Painter.

                              Anybody has used Painter before?

How you guys like it in comparison to the Adobe programs?
