I worked for them Years ago Complete CRAP company to work for. I wouldn't recommended working for them.
I worked for them as well, but I was young and stupid and actually enjoyed working there(first dibs on toys lol) I did the holiday temp thing, Unloading trucks and stocking up I also had my best friend with me so that made it better

So you did all the grunt work with all the newly released convicts in the truck...... That and all the Prisoners doing overnight stock work.....
I gotta admit I did get first dibs on all the new cool stuff
I also worked there for about a month when I was on winter break from college one year. I just needed to work wherever I could find it to help pay for books, etc. when I went back to school. It was minimum wage and although I spent most of my days out on the floor stocking shelves and helping customers; I had a difficult time with co-workers. Nobody particularly mean but just didn't find anything in common with anyone. I also felt extremely bad that this was basically their occupation while I was just making some money for school. The managers were pretty nice to me though. I worked hard there and did whatever was asked without question. I wish I could have said that I had first dibs on toys which I'm sure I did but was so focused on saving for college, I didn't buy anything.

Actually TRU is owned by the same private investment company that owns the company I work for and they are really smart when it comes to this type of stuff.
My kids are past the toy buying age with the exception of my 10 year old and he's starting to lose interest. I noticed that Wal-Mart was eating TRU's lunch a few years ago but the local Wal-Marts seem to not be carrying the variety of toys they once did and neither does Target. Maybe they see an opportunity to jump back and grab market share.
