These types of reunion movies always suck, IMO. The Hulk and Dukes of Hazzard ones were terrible too. They never manage to recapture the feel of the original series, and end up just being kind of sad reminders that everyone is looking old and tired.

It's always fun to see the cast together again of a show you love, but yeah, on a real level, they suck.

Funny thing is, even though most people don't consider them reunion movies, all Classic Star Trek movies are reunion movies.

I thought all the Bixby Hulk reunion stuff was great... altho everytime the
cameo "hero" got involved a "corny" element that never really existed in the
original series reared it's head, and that kinda spoiled the classic tone.

The first Dukes reuinion was okay.... but missing Hogg and Jennings
was what gave it no chance for greatness.

Yes, Rescue was the first...and one of the best IMO...although would it have killed Tina Louise to reprise the role of Ginger?

Hey, wasn't Sandra Bullock in one of those Bionic reunion movies? Wasn't the guy who Played Donald Blake in Hulk Meets Thor also in the Bionic Reunion?

Yeah, she hates Gilligan's Island and everything to do with it. The babe they got to replace her was really good tho and even gorgeous at the time they did the E True Hollywood Special.

I thought Rescue From Gilligan's Island was a very good made for TV movie. On one level it tried to address the fact that these people, who were presumed dead, get rescued and return to society 15 years later. They can't all pick up where they left off. The have to adjust to the fact that the world moved on; America moved on and forgot them. That is leaps and bounds a topic above & beyond what any average old Gilligan's Island episode would address. Even tho the TV movie succumbs to dumb Gilligan predicaments every so often there are some really choice moments in that film. Like the end of the ticker tape parade where they have a moment to realize they are all going their separate ways. That was pretty sobering.
