only once it was snr year and it was the funniest thing..
I went to boot camp for the navy in the summer between junior and senior year of high school and then did the reserve thing. so it was my second drill weekend and they had nothing for me to do so they let me fly an observation flight to Rhoda Spain and then back, I got home at about 2am Monday morning and like a moron went to school

first periods i was fine, but by second period I was drifting off and yawning, which ****ed my teacher off, asked why I was so tired, i tried to explain I went to Spain over the weekend and got back this morning, which got laughs from everyone but the teacher. go see the principal...

went to the pricipal and again explained i went to Spain over the weekend and got back this morning, but he wasn't buying it either, and I wasn't seeing why it was so hard to believe..then it donned on me..oh it was my drill weekend...

in the end I was sent home to sleep

Never in Grade 1-6 The principal was a friend of the family so I knew to behave, because my parents would instantly know.

Middle school, I got sent once for fighting, and the PE coach gave me a few licks for throwing rocks.

Also got sent to the Principal once in high school, but I was a aide for the Vice Principal, and got off with a verbal warning.

Of course after grade school, with the exception of the fight, my parents still dont know about the those events.

          Twice in Elementary School.

The first incident had to do with a bully. He rode my bus and would typically push me, trip me, punch me, etc. as I was getting off the bus. I told my parents about it and their response was punch him in the face if he tries it again and he will never pick on you again. Well, I did what they said, gave him a bloody nose and I ended up in the principal's office next day along with parents. The principal made us apologize to each other...my mom didn't really say much until after we left and just said (he'll never touch you again...he didn't). Second time was as a school patrol. I used to be responsible for assigning patrols to get the Kindergarten kids home and after realizing that one assigned wasn't there, wanted to talk to the teacher who had oversite to help me find a replacement. There was one of those big state tests going on that day and I did my best not to disturb anyone but was sent immediately to the principal just by opening the door and trying to figure out what to do. In hingsight, I understand why he was angry but I was never told that those tests were that important and I didn't disrupt the test.

T3Toys reminded me of another good story that almost got me in trouble in High School.

The Teacher's Union were arguing over something that I don't even remember and all planned to call in sick leaving all of us with substitute teachers.

I remember telling my mom that I was not going to learn anything at school that day and would it be ok if I took a break from school (I actually had a good GPA and didn't get into trouble). One teacher of mine (who called in sick by the way as part of this protest), told me that I better have a legitimate written excuse for missing school or I was going to receive big time detention. I told my mom about the situation and she simply wrote a note asking to excuse me from school because I was SICK! It was classic.
