I've been watching alot of the old shows and I think I have figured out the key to the meltdown.

On the old shows OCC was run out of a building SR already owned. He had little to no overhead and the business was a big hobby for him. During this tie JR carried the business with his creativity and design.

Fast forward, SR lets his business people talk him into OCC worldwide. He is now in huge debt with this new building. Shortly after opening the economy crashes, and the demand for custom choppers and such dry up. SR hits panic mode and he sees Paulie as not carrying the load (coming in lae etc) Thus the argument and split.

Paulie still holds 20% of OCC and refuses to give it away for nothing. I think SR is borderline broke, and cant afford to buy Paulie out. So the feud and lawsuits fly hoping the other one blinks.

In the SR vs JR I've noticed that Paulie has matured a bunch, and if you notice when they are at his shop you never hear the censor button. He and Vinnie have the freedom to build and create (By the way Vinnie is still running VForce customs and working part time for JR). I think if he keeps the high road and his nose to the grindstone he will pass OCC in a few years.

OCC has quit being innovative. Jason Pohl is a twit that could not design his way out of a paper bag. His bikes are rehashes of the bikes Paulie designed years ago. The reason we no longer see all the fab work on the show is because OCC is just slapping the bike together as fast as they can to keep afloat. I predict Rick will jump ship next. He already has a part time company Rick Petko Designs he runs out of his house.

    Just my 2 cents worth

Bolt on aftermarket parts doesn't make you a customizer. Well, I guess these days it does but those bikes are laughable.

here is the geiko bike Paulie made. blows OCC snap on bikes away

Here is his Anti Venom bike

I visited the old OCC shop (about 3 yrs ago) and I could have spent hours looking at Paulies designs. There is so much you don't see on TV. On these bikes. They are simply breathtaking.

On a side note, while I was up there driving around town, SR passed us in his Hummer and down the road Paulie pulled out in front of us in his silver sports car burning rubber. Never got a chance to meet them in person

They used to be better. I mean, the frames were outsourced, but they used to chop them. Same goes for the fenders. But, man Rick and Vin used to crank out some tanks, oil pans, handle bars, forks, seat pans, and even custom throttles. Vin got to be good with the flow jet for the rims.

That is more like what we are accustomed to seeing from this team. In fact, that shows what should have been the progression.
