They did when they were little. My brother is 12 years old than I am, and my niece and nephew were born when I was 12 and 13. So when they were little it was Auntie Sharon (only family gets to call me Sharon). Now that they're 31 and 32, they just call me Sharon.

Yep, I'm uncle Thomas to my 2 nephews. Even my neighbours refer to me as uncle Thomas when they're talking about me to their 2 year old son

Mine all call me Uncle Tony.
I'm thirty-eight years old and I still call my aunts and uncles, aunt and uncle before their first name.
Heck I still call my Mom and Dad,mom and dad not by their first names.
Just seems disrespectful to me to do otherwise???
        Our kids do the same.

I was Auntie Fluffie for a very long time. When my oldest neice was little, she couldn't pronounce "Cathie" and it came out as fluffie and stuck.

These days I am Auntie Cat. I am sure my youngest nephew thinks that is my name.

my one niece calls me Russquatch, my other niece calls me Uncle Russell

then my niece ashley and niece ally call me Unkie or Unkie Russ they live with me, so I'm more like a father figure or big brother figure to them.

I'm not sure that my nephew knows my name...or that I'm his uncle. He's old enough to know (he's in his teens), but he's always been a pretty quiet guy, so it's tough to have much of an idea what he knows. Now that he's in his teens, he's even quieter. He's always had that vibe of, "Man, I hope no one tries to talk to me. I'll just ignore them and hope they go away."
Nostalgia just ain’t what it used to be.

It's in the raising, I suppose.

I still say, "Yes, sir" or "Yes, ma'am." or "This is Mr. So-and-So or Ms. So-and-so". I live in an area that still kind of values that and I love it when a kid says "yes, sir". Not because I like the honorific being bestowed upon me, but it tells me a little bit about the kid. Doesn't bother me if they don't, I just find it refreshing when they do.

My niece calls me "Todd" or "Uncle Monkey".

She's never called me Uncle Todd unless she was angling for a Birthday or Christmas upgrade.
