From Wikipedia: "Bear Swamp nearby was known as either Cat Hollow or Cat Swamp, because of packs of vicious wild cats that lived there who frequently and lethally attacked travelers along the road."

“When you say “It’s hard”, it actually means “I’m not strong enough to fight for it”. Stop saying its hard. Think positive!”
Not far from my place there is a Karma avenue and a Nirvana avenue. I often go past a street named 'The Crofts'- it's a weird name, and I always think of Sid and Marty Krofft, even though it is spelt differently
I'm always driving around for work and often wonder what streets would be deal breakers if I were buying a house.
In my service area:
Powderpuff Lane
Podacarpus Ave
The Mall (That's it, just a short residential street called "The Mall")
Thames Street (just for the annoyance of the many versions of pronunciation)
Gimgong Street
Streets that I would sacrifice a little on the house hunt to live on in my area:
Bee Pond Road
The 400 block of Mary Jane Lane
While working customer service years ago I once mailed something to an address on Peep Toad Road. I would consider moving there and figuring out a job later...
There are some interesting small town names out towards Lancaster, Pa, leading to the famous regional saying, "You have to go through Intercourse to get to Paradise."
And I have a relative who lives on Endlich Lane, which makes me giggle.
We have Hillgirt Circle, Fruitvale Ave., Dimond Park...and others I know I'm forgetting.
"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."
