I don't think either are crazy. Both are pretty intelligent guys from everything I've seen.

That said, I'd say West is more "crazy" in general terms. He lived a lot wilder life and has had more insane experiances.

Only in recent years has the Shat realized he could make a fortune lampooning himself.

My personal experience with Shatner was neutral. Met him at a Trek con in a signing line, he did acknowledge me and said "your welcome" to my "Thank You". The "line people" were making sure the line kept moving and the moment was necessarily brief.

Haven't met Adam West yet. And out of the big TOS people, I haven't met Nimoy (which figures, because Spock is my favorite character) and never got to meet Majel Barrett or Gene Roddenberry before they passed.

When I met Deforest Kelley he only shook hands because his arthritis precluded autographs being done for a line for a long period of time (but I did buy one of his poems that did have an autograph).

Shatner wins this. No matter what he said in the book, he's proven time and time again to be less than courteous in person. West can be a little too much but the reports and my own personal experience were pleasant enough.

I'd rather hang with west. Look at all the animation voice work he does. The man has stayed active and he doesnt mind spoofing himself. Hell the guy even did some porn. One of the Lady Chatterly's. It gives him an edge... And I really like Trek... Character wise Batman could take Kirk or TJ Hooker or the over weight lawyer guy....probably all 3 together. Biff Bam Pow
