I looked for a clip of it, but couldn't find it, but I always crack up at the tentacles that start coming out of the serving pot when the mother is serving dinner in one of the scenes.
            It's all good!

I've heard not so nice stuff about Cusack lately. And frankly, anyone who wants to ignore he was in "Better Off Dead" and tout that he was in "2012" needs to be looked at.

Just picked this up at the Library, the had it in a new package as an 80's classic, how can movies we watched growing up be called classics.Thats just not right.

Totally a favorite of mine at the time. I've seen it so many times that I could probably annoy anyone watching it with me by saying every line along with the actors! I don't know why anyone would be unhappy about being in that movie.

"Gee, Ricky, I'm real sorry your mom blew up."

                    or

"Hey Badger, your book on how to pick-up trashy women came today. Tell me something - what's a little boy like you doing with big boy smut like this?"

                    or

"You'd make a fine little helper, what's your name?"
                    "Charles DeMar."
                    "Not you!"
Nostalgia just ain’t what it used to be.

Watched "Don't be Afraid of the Dark" over the weekend and was surprised that the heroine of the film was Lane's mom!

Yeah - that's just freakin' weird - maybe he's lightened up on it now because "Hot Tub" did have a couple of "Better Off Dead" references.

Yep. Kim Darby. She played Miri in the Trek episode of the same name, and also starred in True Grit with John Wayne.

I once saw a movie with her and the French Girl from BOD. The girl tries to kill Lane's mom! It was somewhat surreal.

I think it takes a back seat to The Sure Thing and Say Anything, but it definitely has its place in the Cusack 80s lexicon..

25 years! Wow I'm an old man.

Love both Better off Dead and One Crazy Summer. I don't think they get enough props.

On the other hand, I think Tapeheads has aged very very badly.
